FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is this just an AI chatbot?

No. Dezybel runs structured research against real sources and returns a fixed report format — sound, dB range, drone, legality, fitment, parts, confidence — not a freeform chat reply.

Where do the dB numbers come from?

From owner measurements, manufacturer figures, and community references found during research. We give ranges with a confidence level and the reasoning, never fake-precise single numbers.

Will it tell me if a setup is street-legal?

We classify risk as likely street-safe, verify locally, risky, or track/off-road only — and we tell you to confirm your local limits. We don't make legal guarantees.

What is drone, and why does it matter?

Drone is the resonance you hear at steady cruising RPM. It's the most common regret after a new exhaust. We estimate drone risk and the cruise-RPM range where it shows up.

Does it cover my motorcycle?

Dezybel is motorcycle-only at launch and works best for popular street, naked, and sport models. If evidence for your exact bike is thin, the report lowers its confidence rather than guessing.

Slip-on or full system?

The report recommends one setup and shows budget, balanced, and premium alternatives, each with the sound character and tradeoffs — including whether a tune is required.

Do you sell exhausts?

No. Dezybel is independent. Buy-link slots are clearly secondary to the analysis, and recommendations are driven by your sound target and the evidence — not commissions.

What do I get on the free plan?

One basic report. Pro unlocks unlimited reports, a saved garage, side-by-side comparisons, and full source evidence.
